OK, great, it worked! When I put in the other picture (the garden) I used a separate software program that I had downloaded at home. In many ways this was simpler. I just put the photo in my folder on the New Paltz server, then created a link to that file in my blog post. There's some fancy typing involved, but it's something everyone can do easily.

Another fantastic summer day, and here I am in the office. I was going to go to the gym after work, but instead I think I'll take a walk or ride my bike. I wish I were at the beach! Here's the funniest thing that happened at Newport Beach: Debby and I went for a swim. As we walked back across the sand to our blanket and towels, we could see that about a hundred seagulls were staging a riot on our blanket. They were fighting and screaming. They had found our ziplok bag of peanuts, torn it open, and shaken peanuts all over. There were many more seagulls than peanuts, so the fighting was fierce. We had to chase them all away, and then throw all the remaining peanuts as far as we could to keep them from coming back. I wish I had a picture of the seagull riot. I forgot to take my camera on that trip, so I don't have any pictures at all. But I think I'll find a picture of Newport and see if I can include it in this post -- just for practice.
OK, I think I just inserted a photo of the Cliff Walk in Newport, RI, where Debby and I walked each morning. Now I'll publish and see if it worked!
